'Find a clearing in the forest of your life'
M. Postlethwaite
Welcome, thank you for taking the time to visit my website.
You may find yourself here because you are suffering in some way, or you feel distant from the life you would like to lead. The therapeutic space provides a safe container for experience and its exploration. We will work collaboratively to gain greater understanding of the dynamics that have brought you here, and identify helpful ways to move toward a more content and intentional life.

I strive to be an attentive and compassionate companion as we unfold the story of who you have been and who you are, and embark on your journey of becoming.
I offer a space in which you are invited to:
Counselling for individual adults and young people +16
Integrative: drawing upon humanistic, psychodynamic and cognitive modalities
Short-term, long-term and open ended
In-person sessions based in Bexley, Kent

-
Reflect on your relationship with yourself and others
-
Gain deeper understanding of who you are
-
Consider how to enact desired changes and feel empowered in your choices

I have experience of working within community based counselling services and in private practice. I have worked in a supporting role with people with complex mental health needs and volunteered as a group facilitator in a peer-led support group for people with depression.
I continue to develop my knowledge and understanding as a therapist by regularly attending relevant training and continuing my personal therapy.
Life experiences, such as significant relationships, impact how we view ourselves and who we become. I am particularly interested in exploring patterns of attachment to help you gain greater understanding of your feelings and thoughts, and how they impact how you are, and who you are as a person. I believe everyone deserves to free themselves from the chains that hold them back - such as feeling unworthy, wrong, not good enough, undeserving, guilty for taking space, experiencing self-doubting and criticising internal narratives. My aim is to provide a space for you to safely express yourself, feel listened to and seen. My hope is that through the therapeutic process we will, together, foster more self-understanding and self-compassion, to help you live a more fulfilling life true to yourself.
I have worked with clients on issues such as:
- Emotional abuse
- Depression
- Difficulties relating to relationship with self, identity
- Understanding and managing feelings, emotional overwhelm
- Relationship problems
- Symptoms of post-traumatic stress
- Loss
- Anxiety
- Suicidal ideation
- Coping with life adjustments / changes
- Increasing self-awareness
